Do I Really Need A Web Site?This is a question I get asked frequently. I believe it comes from a lot of misinformation about what a web site will do for you. Some people believe that by just setting up a web site, they will have thousands of people looking at it every day. I can assure you that this will not be the case. But if you think that your web site will have to get thousands of hits a day to make it worth having, maybe you need to consider a little different perspective. Let's look first at how you use the Internet. The fact that you are reading this letter and visiting our web site shows that you use the Internet for research. People like yourself are utilizing the Internet in mind boggling numbers. Why? Because the Internet is a tremendous source of information about everything and anything, and it is as convenient as watching television. So how are you currently getting information out about your company and services? If you are like most title companies, it is by word of mouth at realtor, lender and builder gatherings. Some of you have brochures that you may hand out. Think about it, when you are talking to these potential clients, how much time do you have to promote your company? How much are they going to remember? How many other people did they talk to at the same meeting? Get the picture? Now let's consider a different scenario. You would also have convenience items such as directions to your office, contact information and on-line ordering. You get the idea. Now, when you discuss what you can do, you only need to give them a little bit of information and direct them to the web site where they can find a lot more information to view/print at their convenience Of course, your business card would have your web and E-mail address on it so they will not have to remember them. Also consider that once a web site is published, there is no cheaper way to get information out about your company with little effort on your part.
